About Michelle Weltmer

LMFT – Marriage & Family Therapist

I was born and raised in Sacramento, Ca. At an early age, I realized I enjoyed helping others and that has guided my choices and path in life to become a therapist. I attended CSU of Sacramento for my undergraduate degree and National University for my graduate degree. My husband and I have been married for 17 yrs and have three active daughters. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, traveling, listening to music, and reading.

My Approach

Everyone desires to live their “best life”, but are held back due to negative behavioral patterns and incongruent perceptions of self and life. I work collaboratively with each individual to create specific treatment plans and goals, to help individuals develop increased awareness, insight, connection, and coping skills, so they may experience greater joy within themselves and relationships.

“We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.”
― Brené Brown

I use a variety of approaches to meet my client’s unique needs. Utilizing a foundation of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Together we tailor a treatment plan and approach that includes tools and coping skills to help support and sustain the growth you experience in therapy.
